Legal Mentors. Support for solicitors

Advice and Support for Solicitors

Legal Mentors assist Lawyers to take advantage of the increasingly competitive market for Legal Services. Whether it is because of impending de-regulation or just a desire to go for growth, Legal Firms are moving rapidly towards a more commercial approach to managing their practice. Legal Firms rely on the team at Legal Mentors to guide them through the process of creating a new Vision for their practice; linking goals and activities to that Vision, to gain the buy-in of all staff and finally, to ensure that the intended progress is made.

Marketing and Business Development Workshop

The Legal Services Act has far-reaching effects on how legal services are presented to the marketplace. A new approach is now required.

Increasingly, there will be pressure on pricing and client loyalty. The more fickle clients will be less inclined simply to stick with ‘the family lawyer’ whilst new clients often will choose services motivated by price and the impression gained from your brand and web site.

This in-house workshop is for practices which recognise these challenges and wish to develop their business in the most cost-effective manner. This interactive workshop is designed to help practices make the most of their business now and in the future.

This is a two-stage process:

1) Partners' Workshop: Consider and choose ideas for business development

  • How to gain more business from existing ‘domestic’ clients
  • New services and cross-selling
  • How to gain more business from commercial clients
  • New services and cross-selling
  • How to motivate and reward staff for bringing in new business
  • Measuring new business
  • Discuss the way the practice wishes to adopt the ideas presented. This determines the content of the staff workshop

2) All staff workshop: Working together

  • How can we gain more business from existing ‘domestic’ clients?
  • New services and cross-selling
  • How can we gain more business from commercial clients?
  • New services and cross-selling
  • Recognition and rewards
  • Monthly feedback – how we will measure and communicate progress?
